Victorian Gala Evening – Murder Mystery!

You are cordially invited to The Last Gasp – a murder mystery gala evening set in 1899, acted out by you, the audience!  Period dress is highly encouraged and a number of prizes will be awarded on the night!

The event will take place at the historic Scotsbridge Mill in Rickmansworth on Thursday 12th April 2012, at 7:30pm.  A hot buffet will be provided and all profits will go to Cancer Research UK Relay for Life Harrow.

Tickets for this event  are priced at £25 each. Tickets are extremely limited and are strictly on a first-come-first-served basis. On securing a place at this exclusive evening you will be sent an invitation, along with a character and a back-story which will become more important as the night progresses.

This promises to be an exciting evening that you will remember for years to come!

This event is run by Team Beko, but they have said that £5 from each ticket sold by other teams will be credited  to their team.

NB: Attendees are kindly informed that the invited guests include Her Gracious and Glorious Majesty Queen Victoria. Her Majesty demands punctuality from all guests and will look very poorly upon any tardy arrivals.

Notes on the New Website

The new Cancer Research UK website is now live and accepting registrations for Relay 2012. This is a brand new site with lots of superb new functionality and we’re all really excited about it.

For the first time, online donations are being centralised through this website so there’s no need to set up your own online giving site. It also means that your family and friends can donate to you as an individual, your team or the Relay in general.

We just need to flag up a couple of things in terms of team member registrations;

  • If you have any survivors on your team you need to make sure they register as Team Members. During the team member registration process you can indicate if you are a survivor. Survivors who are not team members should be part of teams should register using the Survivor process.
  • Children under 5 are still able to register for free. It has been decided that this will continue in 2012, but they will not be eligible for T-shirts. If you would like a T-shirt for your child please register them as being 5 years old and pay a registration fee. For security and insurance purposes you will need to sign in with us on the day.

Remember to register quickly: this will help us plan for the event more effectively.

Meet and Greet

Thanks to everybody who attended our first Meet and Greet this month. It was great to meet all of you.

Our next Meet and Greet will be on Thursday 8th March at 8pm at The Case Is Altered, Old Reading. This is a great place to socialise with other teams  and build up relationships before the event and we look forward to meeting you.

These events are open to all team captains, team members and prospective teams looking for more information.
