Hitting the Right Note

Pranasha raised £420 at a 2-part musical event. The afternoon event consisted of chanting religious songs where money was raised in donations. The evening was a ticketed event with a live band performing a wide variety of old & new Bollywood music accompanied by a buffet dinner.

Bravo Pranasha!

We need up to 3 collectors on from 8am to 9pm so are looking for a lot of obliging volunteers!

If you would like to get involved, please contact Mark at

Team Drinks

Thanks to everyone who came to March’s drinks.

The next drinks will be on Tuesday 3rd April 2012, at the Case Is Altered, Old redding; from 8pm.

These events are of course optional and there’s no agenda or structure to the events; we just feel it’s nice to get to know one another before the event and foster a greater community spirit.

We’ll also be having more formal team captains’ meetings in the next few weeks and we ask you or one of your team to try and attend. We’ll be issuing those dates in the coming weeks so watch this space!

Trolley loads of cash!

Many of you will have read about the exciting new partnership that has been announced, between Cancer Research UK, to raise £10 million. This money will do phenomenal amounts of good.

However, as part of this arrangement volunteer fundraising has been coordinated nationally. All volunteer collecting, bag packs etc through will take place on a designated weekend in October.

We will provide more details when they are available, but please do not approach Tesco about fundraising in the meantime.

Full details are available at CRUK’s press release, which can be accessed here.
